Page 1+ is the Library’s central search platform, meaning it searches most of the Library resources and displays the results in one list. This saves you the time it would take to search through multiple digital resource collections to find the results you need.
Page 1+ is generally the best place to search. You can search most of the Library’s print and digital resources. This includes items in the Library Catalogue, as well as the digital resources to which the Library subscribes.
When to search directly in a digital resource collection
While most of the Library’s resources are accessible through Page 1+, some of our collections are either not included in Page 1+, or have features that are not available through Page 1+. If you know that you need a resource from one of these collections, it would be better to search directly in that digital resource collection.

Collections containing news resources that will not appear in the results on Page 1+ – you can use the Newspapers search to find news articles:
- Canadian Business and Current Affairs
- Canadian Major Dailies
- Canadian Reference Centre
- News (Gale OneFile)
- Ontario Community Newspapers
- Our Ontario
Collections available in Page 1+ but with some features that can only be used when searching them directly:
