Students and staff may request up to one chapter of a physical item from our General Collection to be scanned and made available to them digitally for seven days with a maximum of 5 downloads. Requests will be evaluated and may be rejected at the library’s discretion.
Guidelines:
- Only one request can be submitted on any one title.
- Up to three items may be requested simultaneously for various works.
- Please allow for up to five business days to process your request.
- Downloads are to be deleted within thirty days after the end of your course.
- Downloads may not be shared with any other parties.
- It is the responsibility of the requester to have a program capable of viewing PDFs.
- Requester agrees to abide by the library’s copyright statement.

Requesting an Item
1. In Page1+, locate a physical item in the Library’s General Collection.
2. Open the items record by clicking on the title.
3. If you are not already logged in, click on the Sign In button highlighted in yellow under the Get It section.
4. While logged in you will be able to select, Request a Chapter, under the Get It section
5. Fill in the digitization Request form with as much information as you can provide.
6. Accept the copyright and click Send Digitization Requests.
Monitor your requests
1. If you are not already, Log into Page1+ using the sign in option in the upper right corner.
2. If you are signed in, select your name, and choose ‘My Requests’ under your Library Card.
3. Here, you can review the status and cancel requests that you no longer need.
Accessing Digital Copies
1. Check your email inbox and junk folders for notification regarding your requests.
2. Approved requests will be delivered through a “Notification Item Letter”.
3. When ready to access the requested work, click the link provided in the email.
Note: Once delivered, requests will remain active for seven days and may only be accessed through this link a maximum of five times.
Cancellation Reasons
The library may reject requests for any reason including but not limited to:
- Multiple requests for the same item by the same patron.
- Multiple requests for the same item by patrons within the same program.
- The request is not from an eligible collection.
- The requested item is not able to be scanned due to technological limitations or ill repair.
- The request falls outside of copyright exceptions or licensing agreements.
- The request cannot be processed within a reasonable time.
- The requesters account is blocked for any reason.
