Room numbers: How do I understand the room information on my timetable
Last Updated: Jul 29, 2025 Views: 5

When reading your timetable, most classes that have an on-campus component (standard, multimodal, and some hybrid courses) will have a room number to let you know where the course is located. The room information for each class includes the campus, building, and room number.

Ottawa Example

If you see you have a class in room WB457, you'll find your class in:

W = Woodroffe/Ottawa campus
B = B Building
457 = 4th floor, room 457

There are a few exceptions to be aware of:

  • VRTUAL = This course will be delivered in a completely virtual format.
  • CA = This course will be delivered in the Algonquin Centre for Construction Excellence (ACCE) building, located at the Ottawa campus

Pembroke example

If you see you have a class in room PB457, you'll find your class in:

  • PB = Pembroke campus

  • 457 = 4th floor, room 457

There are a few exceptions to be aware of:

  • VRTUAL = This course will be delivered in a completely virtual format.

  • PB100S = This course is part of the Carpentry program and the lab is located off-campus. Your Professor will confirm that location in the first week(s) of class.
